The Issue

The Regional Director of Lloyds TSB Large Corporate wanted to intentionally ensure that the strengths of his team translated into the greatest possible benefit for the business. Caret’s strengths-based approach caught his interest.

Caret’s Solution

The team development was set in the context of clearly articulated business priorities. They took part in a programme of group sessions aimed at developing a shared understanding and appreciation of individual and composite strengths and their use in achieving business success. In addition to this, individuals were given coaching in respect of the daily deliberate best use of their unique strengths (and the managing of weaknesses) so the business could succeed and benefit to customers was maximised.

The Results and Impact

As a result of the programme, team members became increasingly comfortable with understanding and intentionally playing to their strongest strengths, both individually and as a group. One outcome is that the Director has developed a focus on learning and development within the Region which is rated as ‘business leading’ by the individual themselves.
